Its interesting that you have commented on the cost of stop-motion, obviously there are the models and sets to make, lights, cameras and film etc. so I'd not expect it to be cheap. However, if you look at the cost of commercial films the stop motion ones are often significantly cheaper than the CGI ones.

Hey FleaCircusDirector,

I don't know the budgets of professional Animated Features, so I can't really compare them. But-as with everything- you can decide for yourself how much you want to spend, how far you want to go. I wanted a certain level of detail for Her Hair and that brings costs with it. However Animation is still a whole lot cheaper than Live-Action, thank god. ;)

Another unique quality that Stop-Motion has is the space-issue. You need a lot of it compared to other forms of animation. And I truly don't know what I'll do with my sets when filming's over. One thing's sure; It will be very hard to take them apart...
